An Irish poet and novelist, Annette is a past postgraduate of University College Cork and Aberystwyth University, Wales. Her philosophy is to entertain, amuse but never to bore or misinform.
A grey haired cranky stern woman,
With a sarcastic tongue and quick temper has Joanne,
And a cheeky nature with no sense of humor is Miss Lane,
She likes to scream a lot especially at male kids,
All talking in class she strictly forbids.
II
She is a big girl with large curly teeth,
An innocent face but a nasty spinster’s character lurks underneath,
In class no discussions she just reads aloud our textbook,
She can quieten a class without just one nasty look.
III
The male hater gives loads of homework,
For boys with unruly behavior long hours of detention lurks,
She wears old fashioned clothes and flat lace sensible shoes,
At the break the students swear she has a fag and some booze,
I do not approve of her verbal abuse,
Joanne Lane is nasty and obtuse.
