Frances White lives in London. Her poems and artwork have been published in magazines and anthologies. Two of her poems have won first prizes in local competitions. She is trained as an English teacher and takes part in readings at poetry venues.
Nasturtiums trail in autumn light
as summer’s height
softly closes.
Frail roses
dwindle on the broken trellis.
It was true bliss
to sit with you
although we knew
our sun-baked terracotta days
were final rays
to compensate
your wasting state.
